Job Description Job Title: Laptop / Desktop Engineer Location: Tharamani, Chennai Employment Type: Full-time, Onsite Experience Required: Minimum 1 Year Joining: Immediate About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Laptop / Desktop Engineer to join our onsite technical team in Chennai (Tharamani). The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware and software issues across laptops, desktops, and peripherals to ensure smooth IT operations. Key Responsibilities: - Install, configure, and maintain laptops, desktops, and related hardware. - Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and OS-level issues (Windows / macOS / Linux). - Perform system upgrades, installations, and routine maintenance tasks. - Diagnose and repair hardware components such as RAM, HDD/SSD, motherboard, display, and other peripherals. - Support in LAN, network connectivity, and printer configuration issues. - Ensure antivirus updates, OS patches, and system security compliance. - Backup, restore, and data migration when necessary. - Maintain proper documentation of service requests, repairs, and asset tracking. - Collaborate with IT and administrative teams for efficient technical support. - Provide prompt, reliable, and professional onsite support to all users. Required Skills & Qualifications: - Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in laptop/desktop support or hardware engineering. - Strong understanding of computer hardware components, OS installation, and configuration. - Knowledge of network troubleshooting (LAN, Wi-Fi, IP configuration). - Familiarity with common software tools and system utilities. - Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with end-users effectively. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple support tasks efficiently. - Diploma / ITI / B.Sc / BCA / BE in Computer Science, Electronics, or related field preferred.
