About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated
Laptop / Desktop Engineer
to join our onsite technical team in
Chennai (Tharamani)
. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware and software issues across laptops, desktops, and peripherals to ensure smooth IT operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain laptops, desktops, and related hardware.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and OS-level issues (Windows / macOS / Linux).
  • Perform system upgrades, installations, and routine maintenance tasks.
  • Diagnose and repair hardware components such as RAM, HDD/SSD, motherboard, display, and other peripherals.
  • Support in LAN, network connectivity, and printer configuration issues.
  • Ensure antivirus updates, OS patches, and system security compliance.
  • Backup, restore, and data migration when necessary.
  • Maintain proper documentation of service requests, repairs, and asset tracking.
  • Collaborate with IT and administrative teams for efficient technical support.
  • Provide prompt, reliable, and professional onsite support to all users.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum
    1 year of hands-on experience
    in laptop/desktop support or hardware engineering.
  • Strong understanding of
    computer hardware components, OS installation, and configuration.
  • Knowledge of
    network troubleshooting (LAN, Wi-Fi, IP configuration).
  • Familiarity with common software tools and system utilities.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with end-users effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple support tasks efficiently.
  • Diploma / ITI / B.Sc / BCA / BE in Computer Science, Electronics, or related field preferred.
