The Desktop Support Engineer is responsible for providing technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of desktop systems. This role involves installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware, software, and peripherals. The Desktop Support Engineer also assists with network connectivity, user account management, and data backup and recovery. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, and other devices.
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and drivers.
  • Assist with network connectivity issues, including troubleshooting and configuration.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
  • Perform data backup and recovery procedures.
  • Maintain inventory of hardware and software assets.
  • Create and maintain documentation for technical procedures and troubleshooting guides.
  • Assist with the deployment of new hardware and software.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and advancements.
