Job Category Field Service job description as follows Thermal Management Subject Matter Expert SME with minimum 5 years of experience This can be tailored for industries like automotive aerospace electronics or data centers depending on your focus Job Title Thermal Management SME Location Kolkata Department Service Operations and Technical support Reports To Technical Director Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Thermal Management Subject Matter Expert SME with 5 years of experience to lead and support the design analysis and optimization of thermal systems The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heat transfer fluid dynamics and thermal simulation tools and will play a key role in ensuring thermal performance and reliability across our products and systems Key Responsibilities Lead thermal design and analysis for products and systems ensuring optimal heat dissipation and thermal efficiency Develop and validate thermal models using tools such as ANSYS Icepak FloTHERM COMSOL or CFD software Collaborate with cross-functional teams mechanical electrical systems to integrate thermal solutions into product designs Conduct thermal testing and validation including data acquisition and analysis Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers on thermal best practices Evaluate and select thermal interface materials heat sinks fans and other cooling components Support root cause analysis and troubleshooting of thermal issues in prototypes and fielded products Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in thermal management Preferred Qualifications DME Diploma in R AC bachelor s degree in mechanical engineering Thermal Engineering or a related field Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in thermal design and analysis Proficiency in thermal simulation tools e g CFD analysis STAR-CCM Strong understanding of heat transfer principles conduction convection radiation and fluid dynamics Experience with thermal testing equipment and instrumentation e g thermocouples IR cameras Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Strong communication and documentation skills Experience in OEMs like STULZ Scheider Climavenita and worked in Electronics cooling or data center thermal management Familiarity with regulatory standards and thermal compliance requirements Knowledge of Autocadd REvit Basic of HVAC or other quality too About the Team Work Authorization No calls or agencies please Vertiv will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States This is not a position for which sponsorship will be provided Individuals with temporary visas such as E F-1 H-1 H-2 L B J or TN or who need sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future are not eligible for hire Equal Opportunity Employer We promote equal opportunities for all with respect to hiring terms of employment mobility training compensation and occupational health without discrimination as to age race color religion creed sex pregnancy status including childbirth breastfeeding or related medical conditions marital status sexual orientation gender identity expression including transgender status or sexual stereotypes genetic information citizenship status national origin protected veteran status political affiliation or disability
