ABOUT SOLENIS Solenis is a leading global producer of specialty chemicals focused on partnering with water-intensive operations to solve complex water treatment process improvement and hygiene challenges with advanced chemical and equipment solutions for consumer industrial institutional food beverage and recreational pool and spa water markets Owned by Platinum Equity the company s product portfolio includes a broad array of water treatment chemistries process aids functional additives and cleaners and disinfectants as well as state-of-the-art monitoring and control systems These technologies are used by customers to improve operational efficiencies enhance product quality protect plant assets minimize environmental impact and create cleaner and safer environments Headquartered in Wilmington Delaware USA the company has 69 manufacturing facilities strategically located around the globe and employs a team of over 16 100 professionals in 130 countries across six continents Solenis has been recognized as a Best Managed Company for 4 consecutive years and was named as 2024 Best Managed Company Gold Standard Winner Role Business Development Leader - Water Reuse and Recycle We are seeking an experienced high impact results driven leader with a strong business development mindset that combines both breadth of perspectives and depth of experience to provide sales and technical leadership grounded in market insights and industry knowledge Scope of work The incumbent shall be building a business in water reuse and recycle The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in developing business opportunities and leveraging competitive advantage The incumbent shall be required to identify the key gaps and improvement opportunities for customers to develop Solenis s water management capability The role will include scoping of opportunities working with partners specification selections RoI calculations and managing after sales services The incumbent shall work with the sales teams of India and South East Asia to satisfy the need to reduce water usage ratios of customers through reuse and recycle Location The incumbent shall be based in India preferably Mumbai or any metropolitan city The key responsibilities for the role entail Generate new business through opportunities in water reuse or recycle Apply expertise as a subject matter expert to drive Reuse Recycle projects from opportunity identification to commercialization Assist in sales planning and presentations at the corporate and site level Help qualify projects from a technical viability standpoint Help scope out projects from an initial design perspective Be able to build cost in use calculations benefits to customers investment needs and return on investment calculations Assist with proposal recommendations and contracts Help lead the Reuse Recycle COE and support Commercial teams to help identify target markets corporations sites and applications Collaborate with equipment partners to assure that needed equipment is designed engineered built and installed Provide recommendations to leadership on strategy needed to achieve short mid and long term growth initiatives Travel The role will require extensive travel like 10-12 days a month or as per business needs across India and South East Asia External interface Equipment partners of Solenis Senior leaders mid-level managers and operating teams in customer organizations - Project Supply Chain Utility Environment Technical Manufacturing Operations Maintenance etc OEM and service providers in water and waste water treatment Internal interface Cluster Country business leaders Regional key account management team Country sales and technical teams Sector leaders District Managers Country marketing and supply chain teams Global technical support teams Global water treatment community within Solenis Education skill background Should have a technical background and sales management skill Undergraduate degree and or post graduate degree in engineering Good command over English language is mandatory
