Job Title Group reporting accountantDepartment Group External Reporting and Control teamReports to Group finance managerM Group Services is the leading essential infrastructure services provider operating within water energy transport and telecommunication across the UK Ireland The Group is a rapidly growing c xc2xa31 6bn revenue highly acquisitive PE owned Group We are looking for a driven professional toJoin the Group External Reporting and Control team There is great scope for this role to be involved in supporting M A activities and transformation projects and make a real impact in this high-profile role that will have significant exposure to senior management Responsibilities Takes the lead to deliver the Statutory accounts and reporting for the companies in a timely manner Leading the audit process to deliver the Statutory accounts by acting as point of contact between the auditors and the subsidiaries Tie through Casting and Cross castings for the multiple draft versions and till the final issuance of group and individuals entities Prepare timetables and instructions to the subsidiaries to ensure reporting deadlines are met Involved in the implementation and ongoing maintenance of new accounting systems Reviewing Business Unit performance each accounting period including continually building and improving the process by which Business Units present and explain periodic results Delivering adhoc projects to support continuous improvement of the Groups statutory reporting control function including liaising with the Group M A team on significant non-routine transactions Posting the routine monthly journals in FCCS and keep a track for the monthly journal log Monitor the divisional task list timelines Monitor the Related party mismatches between WD3- WD6 Monitor the Promotion and Demotion tracker for the divisions Manage changes on the chart of accounts with system administrators team FCCS divisional pack maintenance Key Skills and qualifications Strong excel experience Qualified Accountant with relevant post qualification experience Committed team player with a proven ability to hit deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong technical accounting experience Strong focus on controls processes and continuous improvement Ability to build and maintain strong relationships and to use these relationships to get results Ability to challenge senior stakeholders and operate with impact and influence Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience of using Oracle would be advantageous but not essential
