
Assistant Department Head

The Assistant Department Head at ASBS & Co. will support the Department Head in planning, supervising, and coordinating departmental operations. This role demands strong leadership, analytical capabilities, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure that departmental goals align with the company's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the department.
- Support the Department Head in strategic planning and decision-making.
- Supervise and mentor team members to ensure high performance and adherence to company standards.
- Monitor KPIs, performance metrics, and timelines to ensure operational efficiency.
- Review reports, proposals, or submissions before final approval by the Department Head.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to streamline processes and resolve escalations.
- Contribute to budgeting, resource planning, and cost optimization within the department.
- Assist in compliance monitoring, audits, and internal control implementation.
- Represent the department in inter-departmental meetings and external engagements as delegated.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Commerce, or related field (Master's preferred).
- 3-4 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong understanding of department-specific operations (e.g., operations, finance, compliance, etc.).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, data analysis tools, and ERP systems (if applicable).
