Abadha Foundation, a registered trust under the Companies Act of 1986, has been driving rural development for over 8 years, empowering students, women, and farmers across India. In 2024, the foundation launched Duchenne India to raise awareness and support for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, transforming lives through education, healthcare, and community empowerment.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Business Development Executive, located in Delhi, India. The Business Development Executive will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, generating leads, managing accounts, and developing strategies to achieve business growth. The role also involves building and maintaining strong communication with clients and stakeholders to ensure ongoing success and development.
Job Description (Focus: Urban Expansion in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru)
The Business Development Officer will drive the Foundation's strategic expansion into major urban centres. This is a critical full-time role involving fundraising, local partnership development, and event management.
- Fundraising & Strategy:
- Research and identify potential corporate partners (CSR), foundations, and high-net-worth donors in target cities.
- Generate leads, initiate contact, and manage the pipeline for fundraising and resource mobilization.
- Local Partnerships & Event Management:
- Identify and vet local NGOs/CBOs in target cities to serve as ground partners for our programs (e.g., urban sensitization, DMD awareness).
- Organise, coordinate, and oversee awareness events, camps, and drives through local partners and volunteers.
- Mobilize, and coordinate a team of local volunteers for event execution and on-ground support.
- Performance & Reporting:
- Provide weekly reports on the partnership pipeline, fundraising progress, and event outcomes.
