Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and responsible Document Verification Officer to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to verify and validate customer documents to ensure authenticity, accuracy, and compliance with organizational and regulatory guidelines. The role also involves guiding customers through the documentation process, explaining requirements, and providing proper support to ensure smooth operations. An ideal candidate should possess excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a good understanding of document validation processes. Key Responsibilities 1. Document Verification & Validation Review and verify customer documents for authenticity and accuracy. Ensure all documents submitted are complete, valid, and comply with company policies. Check identity proofs, address proofs, financial documents, application forms, and other supporting papers. Identify discrepancies, mismatches, or missing information and escalate issues if required. 2. Customer Interaction & Guidance Assist customers in understanding the required documentation for various processes. Provide clear instructions on how to prepare and submit valid documents. Address customer queries related to document submission and verification. Ensure a customer-friendly and supportive approach during the entire process. 3. Compliance & Regulatory Adherence Follow company policies and industry-specific regulatory guidelines while verifying documents. Maintain strict confidentiality of customer data and documents. Ensure compliance with KYC (Know Your Customer) norms and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) regulations wherever applicable. Report fraudulent activities or suspicious documents to the compliance department. 4. Record Maintenance & Reporting Maintain accurate records of verified and pending documents. Update customer data in the internal systems after successful verification. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on verification status. Coordinate with internal teams for discrepancies or document-related issues. Required Skills and Competencies Technical Skills Basic knowledge of document validation processes. Familiarity with KYC guidelines, financial documents, and regulatory requirements is an added advantage. Ability to use computer systems, CRM tools, and data entry software efficiently. Soft Skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Problem-solving ability and decision-making skills. Customer-centric and approachable attitude.
