In this role, you will support programs and communications that drive clarity, engagement, and alignment across the End User Computing (EUC) business unit. You will be part of EUC Employee Engagement & Programs team that aims to inspire the #BestEUCTeam by shaping an engaging culture and driving strategic programs. You will support the rollout of BU-wide people programs such as recognitions initiatives, onboarding, and career development. You will support a series of India specific engagement programs, including employee events, engagement initiatives and communications. You will have the opportunity to impact BU-wide initiatives and work closely with the India EUC Leadership Council. This role provides a unique opportunity to learn about employee engagement and the important and multifaceted impact of this team’s work on the employee experience.
**Success in the Role: What are the performance goals over the first 6 - 12 months you will work toward completing?**
Within 30 days, you will become familiar with EUC’s business model and culture. You will meet the team and the key stakeholders to the role. You will learn about our team’s objectives and key results (OKRs).
Within 60 days, you will be supporting the execution of some of the employee engagement programs, such as the companywide recognition program, career development webinars, onboarding program and India all-staff and communications.
Within 180 days, you will be responsible for specific areas within the engagement programs managed by the team. You will also be interacting frequently with individuals in our BU to incorporate their input and feedback.
Within a year, you will identify areas of improvement, analyze best practices, and help implement them across our BU.
**What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?**
This position is part of the global EUC Employee Engagement & Programs team and will be responsible for providing support to drive the execution of various initiatives and programs which runs globally and programs which are specific to EUC India. Some assignments include:
- Support Employee Engagement/Culture Building and Communications program management
- Manage the planning, scheduling, preparedness, execution, feedback, and optimization Employee Engagement/Culture Building
- Organizing virtual/in-person Site Events, Strategy Working Sessions/Forums, Key Business Events Workshops, All-Staff (including involvement in the design of virtual/non-virtual sessions), marketing and communications, support in preparing materials and presentation, generating attendance and participation, and reports.
- Establish and manage the feedback processes for the initiatives to maintain or improve stakeholder satisfaction.
- Support the execution of Rewards and Recognition program for the Business Unit at both global and India level.
- Identify and liaise with vendors
- collaborate on service delivery, track SLA, handle invoicing and payments.
- Collect and maintain internal resources and documentations on collaboration sites, like Confluences, SharePoint, etc.
- Support the development and maintenance of content for internal communication - through Basic video editing, slide presentation creation, and spreadsheet management.
- Provide a high level of responsiveness to ad-hoc requests related to project management, employee engagement programs, presentation development, and business analysis.
**Required skills**
- Self-starter with robust project management skills
- Strong communications skills
- Understanding of communications channels, particularly multimedia with video editing skills
- Experience with PowerPoint, Excel and/or other productivity and communications products (SharePoint, Confluence etc).
- Event planning and management (in person and Zoom events)
- Attention to detail
- Curious and willing to learn
- Good sense of humor
- Interest in and passion for elevating employee experience
**What is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like?**
The Hiring Manager for this role is Guadalupe Hugony, Senior Director of Employee Engagement & Programs for EUC. She joined VMware in October of 2021 to develop and manage the employee engagement strategy for the BU, and is based in Florida, USA. She encourages her team to be curious, and to take ownership of their projects regardless of their title or role. The culture of the team is highly collaborative and open.
This program manager will work very closely with Uma AV, senior program manager of Employee Engagement & Programs, based in Bengaluru. Uma is part of the EUC India Leadership Council, and she manages all the site activities and programs. She has developed and executed many initiatives that are considered best practices across EUC.
