The Banquet Team Leader is concerned with the efficient and professional service of food and beverages within the Banquet, ensuring that the restaurant returns a budgeted profit through tight cost and stock control. This role assists in supervision of staff while ensuring that all guests receive optimum service in accordance with the standards, policies and procedures of the hotel and Hilton International.

Be responsible to provide on the floor supervision. To ensure all function set up and services are maintained in a high standard at all times. To co-ordinate with concerned department for assistance, making the operation running smoothly.

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**
- To check daily function sheets and diary for correct listing and last minute changes.
- To directly supervise on storage handling and inventory of all equipment.
- To directly supervise in physical set up and breakdown of ballroom and function rooms.
- To co-ordinate functions with Banquet Server and Banquet Manager.
- To Check time cards weekly and prepare team member attendance log book.
- To develop and responsible for on the job training for captains and Waiters.
- To greet guests, go through all the functions in detail with them, advising them on proper timing.
- To issue maintenance order to Engineering Department.
- To inspect all banquet area before off duty, ensuring all banquet equipment and function set up are proper and clean.
- To brief all team member on details of the function. Supervises their performance to a high standard.
- To prepare floor plan and equipment for the function.
- To assign duties of all banquet team member before the function
- To accomplish any reasonable request of that are necessary for an efficient operation.
- To carry out any other duties as and when required by supervisors.
- Handle booking for all helpers and prepare requisition for casual labors.
- Take over duties of Asst. Banquet Manager during their absence.
- Knowledge of all types of function set up.
- Compiles log book for the manager's approval. Take note of possible comments for rectification.
- Complies with hotel's rules and regulations including but not limited to Hilton's company-wide policies.
- Sets an example on attendance and punctuality including high standard of personal grooming and hygiene.
- Exercises responsible management and behavior at all times, positively representing the hotel as Hilton Ambassadors.
- Attends training sessions and meetings as and when required.
- Carries out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- The management reserves its right to move, transfer or re-assign team members from their accustomed shift or schedule, job function and department as business dictates. Likewise, Team Members may also be tasked to assist other departments or other Hilton properties on task force when necessary and when business demands.

- 2-4 years in a managerial position in a 4 / 5-star category hotel.
- Good English skills, both written and verbal to meet business needs.
- Familiar with computer systems.
- Motivated and committed, approaching all tasks with enthusiasm and seize opportunities to learn new skills or knowledge in order to improve personal performance.
- Flexible and responds quickly and positively to changing requirements including the performance of any tasks requested of you.
- Maintain high team focus by showing cooperation and support to colleagues in the pursuit of team goals.
- Strong leadership, people management and training skills.
- Guest oriented and able to confidently build and exceed service standards.
- Thorough knowledge of service, cost control in F&B, labour controls, beverage menu writing, maintenance, merchandising, computer and accountings.
