Patient Care Coordinator

When the patient comes to floor he/she to be received cordially.
- Check with patients on their payment mode ( Cash / Company / Insurance / ECHS ) accordingly guide them:
- Company and ECHS patients have to produce a credit letter issued in our hospital name.
- For insurance patient ensure pre authorization mediclaim forms are duly filled and signed by the consultants and sent to the concerned department.
- If patient is for surgery process OT clearance
- Interact with the Consultants / Resident Doctor if required regarding any query from the patient/attender.
- Type letters/certificates as required.
- Co-ordinate with admission desk / maintenance/ house keeping when ever required.
- Co-ordinate with the billing department and give the approximate bill on daily basis to the patient attender.
- Ask the patient / attender to deposit 100% of the balance amount and check with them when it would be deposited and the same to be recorded in the register. I f the patient not cleared communicate with Administrator regarding the same and do the follow up
- Once the doctor has advised for discharge, coordinate with the concerned nurse to intend medicine and return the medicine if any then send the activity card to the billing department.
- Follow up if the bill is ready for cash patients and guide them accordingly.
- For insurance patients check with the concerned department on receiving the clearance from TPA ask the patient to settle the bill.
- Ensure feedback forms are provided to guest, collect the duly filled form and send to the Quality
