Associate Planner (Production & Materials)
- Purpose of the job

To focus on building a continuously improving global vendor community that is part of an integrated and automated supply chain able to meet, and continue to meet, the requirements of our customers with competitive total cost of supply.
- Specific responsibilities

Daily Maintenance Tasks
- Action MRP Exception report and Due/Prom exceptions
- Action Due Prom report
- Action PO to CO offset report
- Action Error Messages from the Helpdesk
- Review over-dues and ‘less than’ 5 day Net Changes
- Action SLO Requests
- Action any Invoice Queries
- Action non-conformance issues and populate spreadsheet. Identify root causes and provide solutions
- Maintain via Serial Master entry our Daily business shortage reports accuracy (R233 etc)
- Identify Direct Shipment opportunities
- Identify cause of and Action Material and Product shortages to ensure manufacturing offsets are maintained through corrective actions.

Project Tasks
- Identify Cost Reduction opportunities and work with Materials Manager &/or Supplier Development Managers to implement
- Re-sourcing exercises
- Hold monthly reviews with vendors and review Performance Monitors
- Review vendor capacity vs. forecast and Annual Plan
- Planning for large customer projects
- Recommend on Make or Buy Decisions
- Document current and future state and update on a regular basis
- Stock Management including Excess, Turns and SS and Planning BOMS
- ECO implementation
- Review of Kanban quantities and process

General responsibilities
- To ensure that all substances purchased are assessed to COSHH before use.
- To ensure that materials purchased are not quoted on CITES register and have the lowest possible environmental impact.
- To comply with Herman Miller safety procedures, attend training events and briefings, and take responsibility for your own safety in accordance with The Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and The Workplace (Health, Safety & Welfare) Regulations 1992.

- Authority to spend on special delivery, to level agreed by UK Operations Director
