This position reports directly to the IT Infrastructure Manager, Marine, and focuses on support and projects to our vessels.

Job Responsibilities include:
Monitor and respond to vessel and office tickets in the IT ticket system.

Provide support to vessels and prepares IT requirements for delivery of new vessels based on established hardware guidelines.

Provides day-to-day administration of IT services as it relates to vessel IT operations including but not limited to software under our support guide, satellite connectivity, servers, storage, networking, operating systems and core network services DNS, DHCP, etc.

Resolve ship problems: based on their complexity and/or urgency, oversee ship IT issues. Scope covers all vessel infrastructure tier 3 of IT systems.

Escalate problem ticket to Tier-3 level support - Infrastructure and Business Applications.

User support and IT training in the Hong Kong office

Plan and schedule IT ship visits in consultation with the Manager

Visit ships to resolve IT issues and audit active configurations for compliance with Enterprise standard.

Develop and document systems and procedures.

Rotation and available on-call for 24/7 IT emergency as required.

Diploma in IT or certifications such as MTA, CompTIA A+, CCENT/CCNA, VCA or equivalent experience

Basic knowledge of DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, LAN & WAN concepts

Knowledge and experience with Windows 7-11, Windows Server 2012-19, and Active Directory

Virtualization knowledge (Hyper-V, VMWare) and Cloud technology (Azure)

Hands-on experience with Fortinet and Aruba

Fast learner with demonstrated willingness to learn.

Team player who is self-driven and organized

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Attention to detail.

Two or more years of experience in an IT role

Additional desired qualifications:
Previous experience in shipping industry is an asset.

Familiarity or experience with IoT is an asset.

Experience with scripting such as PowerShell an asset

Job Demand/Physical Requirements

Must have a valid passport with at least six months validity.

No known restrictions preventing entry into foreign countries.

Able to lift 10 kg.

Sufficient mobility to complete cabling and setup tasks

Required to travel to attend vessels periodically.

This is a 24/7 environment and availability via mobile outside of office hours is occasionally required.

For Travel

SSML would cover airfare, hotel, and visa costs, and a per diem of $60USD for meals, incidentals etc. for days spent at shipyard.

Time for air flight would be covered at standard hourly rate

Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹95,000.00 per month
