Nextdoor Kitchens Pvt Ltd is building a full-stack Food Delivery business in Kolkata with aspirations to reach pan-India scale. We are looking for a seasoned and passionate Sous Chef to join our Culinary Operations Team to lead New Menu Development, Recipe Standardization and Operational Excellence for our restaurant chain.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Create and standardize new entrees for the menu
- Inspect and maintain quality of food servings
- Lead, Hire, Train & Manage Kitchen Staff
- Oversee Purchasing to stay within budget targets
- Ensure adherence to all food safety regulations
- Be aware of new culinary trends and recipes
Qualifications for Sous Chef:
- Min experience of 10 years in Industry with min 2 years as Sous Chef
- Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts
- Ability & experience in managing min 20 Kitchen Staff
- Budgeting Skills to Control Costs
- Incredible food preparation abilities
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at once
- Deep knowledge of the food industry and trends
- Efficient time management skills
- Ability to create new menu items
- English speaking, reading & writing skills
- Basic knowledge of MS Office - Excel, Word etc.
**_Job Type_**: Full-time
**_Salary_**: INR25,000.00 - INR50,000.00 per month
**_Schedule_**: Day shift (Mon to Sat)
**_Supplemental Pay_**: Yearly bonus

**Salary**: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
