Key Responsibilities:

- **Strategic Planning**:

- Develop and implement strategic plans to expand the mortgage business's footprint in India, aligning with the company's overall objectives.
- Analyze market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities and potential challenges.
- **Regulatory Compliance**:

- Ensure all business activities comply with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) regulations, National Housing Bank (NHB) guidelines, and other relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- Stay updated on changes in legislation and regulatory guidelines affecting the mortgage industry and adjust business practices accordingly.
- **Partnership Management**:

- Build and maintain relationships with banks, non-banking financial companies (NBFCs), real estate developers, and other key stakeholders to source mortgage leads and expand business opportunities.
- Negotiate terms and manage agreements with partners to ensure mutually beneficial relationships.
- **Sales and Marketing**:

- Oversee the development and implementation of effective sales and marketing strategies to attract new clients and retain existing ones.
- Leverage digital marketing, social media platforms, and traditional marketing channels to increase visibility and reach potential customers.
- **Product Development**:

- Collaborate with the product development team to design mortgage products that meet the needs of the Indian market, considering factors such as interest rates, loan terms, and repayment options.
- Monitor product performance and customer feedback to make necessary adjustments.
- **Operational Excellence**:

- Implement technology solutions to streamline operations, reduce costs, and enhance the customer experience.
- **Risk Management**:

- Assess and manage risks associated with lending, including credit risk, market risk, and operational risk, to maintain a healthy loan portfolio.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for risk assessment and mitigation.
- **Financial Management**:

- Monitor the financial performance of the mortgage business, including revenue, profitability, and cash flow.
- Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for senior management and stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills:

- **Education**: A bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field is essential. An MBA or other advanced degrees in finance or real estate can be advantageous.
- **Experience**: Extensive experience in the mortgage or financial services industry, with a thorough understanding of the Indian mortgage market, regulatory environment, and financial products.
- **Skills**: Strong leadership and management skills, excellent communication and negotiation abilities, strategic thinking, proficiency in data analysis and financial modeling, and a deep understanding of the digital landscape in financial services.
