This buyer focuses on driving and delivering tactical sourcing support across procurement teams, to conduct end to end tactical sourcing consistently and efficiently. This role supports the business requirements and alignment. This role will be expected to report to the assisted sourcing manager and help in supporting transformation initiatives.

**Responsibilities**
Strategic
Support the development and execution of sourcing plan and activities, through planning and execution of RFx and bid support
Defines projects / categories / goods or services in scope for low cost location sourcing (ASEAN etc), understands the market

Operational
Assist in setting the strategy and capability for assisted sourcing and / or best cost location sourcing, and develop the processes, templates, governance and framework for executing eAuction and other RFx processes (e.g. 3 bids and a buy)
Execute sourcing events, manage contracting, manage the cadence and pipeline for RFx activities and ensure appropriate support
Research low cost location markets to understand current suppliers, pricing models, strategies to drive down pricing
Support business requirement triage and alignment
Maintain good work relationship with internal and external stakeholders, to ensure continuous alignment and buy in
- Activities
Execute and run sourcing projects, including definition of event type, template and material preparation
Review suppliers from Agreed Supplier List and carry out market research for additional supplier providing service
Review the low cost location sourcing projects in scope for regions e.g. ASEAN, and maintain list of goods / services in scope and the procurement owner for them (e.g. FM & Property in services for ASEAN)
Review RFx strategy and then appropriately update, log and communicate RFx once completed, and successfully transfer it to a contract in the Ariba system
Assist in providing materials such as templates and training documents to conduct end to end tactical sourcing consistently and efficiently
To act as procurement triage to review and manage requests for sourcing, routing to appropriate procurement teams as required or execute necessary sourcing activity as required
Provide advice and assistance on specific eAuctions or other sourcing strategy for sourcing requests channelled to the Procurement Excellence Hub
Manage relationships with key suppliers, utilising the latest contracting tools, templates and terms and conditions
- Competencies AND Experience
Min 2-4 years experience as a buyer within the Procurement sourcing function, with strong strategic and tactical procurement skills, and the ability to lead, and deliver value
Great experiences in sourcing execution, able to take strategy and initiatives from design to implementation
Specific experience in assisted sourcing process lifecycle including, capabilities in conducting tactical and strategic sourcing activities, with prior experience working within a Procurement Excellence Hub
Good understanding of BT’s operating environment
Good knowledge around corporate regulation and legislation implications
Effective relationship management skills & ability to influence decision making with senior stakeholders within a matrixed environment
Demonstrates effective continuous improvement skills
