Sous Chef Position at Great Indian Kitchen

Position: Sous Chef
Location: Trivandrum, Kerala
**Responsibilities**:
1. Prepare and cook delicious and authentic dishes while ensuring the highest quality and presentation standards are met.
2. Develop and create new recipes, taking into account seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
3. Ensure all food preparation and cooking methods comply with food safety and sanitation guidelines.
4. Manage and control food costs by efficiently using ingredients and minimizing waste.
5. Collaborate with the management team to plan menus, daily specials, and promotional events.
6. Oversee inventory management, including ordering and stock rotation.
7. Strive to maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment at all times.
8. Participate in regular kitchen staff meetings to provide insights, address concerns, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the kitchen's performance.
**Requirements**:
2. Experience: Prior experience in a restaurant or a similar culinary establishment is highly desirable.(Freshers with great passion for cooking are also welcome).
3. Creativity: We are looking for a chef who can innovate and bring new ideas to the kitchen, elevating the dining experience for our guests.
4. Leadership Skills: Strong leadership qualities to manage and motivate kitchen staff effectively.
5. Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment while maintaining composure and quality output.
6. Food Safety Knowledge: Understanding and implementation of food safety and hygiene protocols.
7. Team Player: Excellent teamwork and communication skills are essential to collaborate with the kitchen team and front-of-house staff.
8. Physical Stamina: Being a chef can be physically demanding, so applicants should be able to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects when necessary.

Schedule : Night shift, Day shift, Rotational Shift
Salary : 25,000 to 30,000 INR
