Business Development Specialist

Objective:
Support the corporate BD team to drive a broad range of strategic activities across the business, focusing on the evaluation of our future product pipeline (including novel formulations, biosimilars, complex generics and generic products).
Key responsibilities of the Role:
• As a member of the Business Development department, seek out and introduce unique, limited competition, first to launch/market project ideas aligned to current and future business.
• Work with IP & portfolio department to identify early launch generics and complex generic products suitable for portfolio expansion.
• Meeting with potential partners, dossier developers and brokers etc. to present Lotus Pharmaceuticals as a partner of choice, and to uncover and ensure access to the best business opportunities.
• Working cross-functionally within the company, providing timely feedback on ideas and accurate and complete input into internal pipeline management teams.
• Initiate contacts and arrange meetings with key stakeholders and external partners to support project activities.
• Maintain and improve our database of materials (including portfolios, presentations, models and clinical documents) to ensure information is well documented and versions remain current.
• Maintain a database of potential product opportunities under evaluation and liaise with relevant suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Over time, build an effective network of contacts across the pharmaceutical industry.
• To support the alliance management team, incase of escalation to avoid any of potential delays / negative impact on the project and deliverables.
• Where necessary to facilitate/contribute to project / commercial meetings to support delivery of the project.
• The coordination of project due diligence activities by working with cross-functional teams
Skills & Experience:
experience: experience at a similar job Experience in a similar role with experience of data analysis or product management, ideally within the pharmaceutical industry.
proficiency in MS Office. An advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel modelling techniques such as data tables, pivot tables, look-ups, macros, etc.
strong financial awareness and good level of commercial judgement.
communication skills (written and spoken), with the ability to build effective working relationships with key stakeholders
qualification (or above) in a life science discipline.
