Role Overview :
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth and building strong relationships with modular furniture manufacturers & Woodworks Industry in India, with a strong focus on promoting and selling PUR Hotmelt Adhesives. This role will involve market development, supplier engagement, customer acquisition, and technical solution selling to ensure increased market share and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, engage, and acquire new modular furniture manufacturers as clients for PUR Hotmelt adhesives.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve monthly and annual revenue targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers, procurement teams, and production managers within the modular furniture industry.
- Provide technical consultation and solutions in collaboration with suppliers to meet customer requirements.
- Conduct regular visits to customer sites for product demonstrations, trials, and after-sales support.
- Analyze competitor activities, market trends, and customer demands to create effective go-to-market strategies.
- Collaborate with suppliers/manufacturers to ensure adequate product availability, technical support, and competitive pricing.
- Prepare and present commercial proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals to drive business growth.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, pipeline status, and sales reports using CRM tools.
- Represent the company at industry trade shows, expos, and networking events.
Qualifications and Experience :
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Chemicals, Engineering, or related field. An MBA is an advantage.
- 2+ years of experience in B2B sales, ideally in adhesives, chemicals, paints, paper, glass, packaging OR wood/furniture-related industries.
- Strong understanding of modular furniture, woodworking processes, and adhesive applications will be preferrable.
- Proven track record in solution-based technical sales and business development.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel extensively across India to meet customers and suppliers.
