Roles and Responsibilities Job Details At the LTFS software delivery centre organization the PMO is in charge of creating procedures and best practices that will help operations - Go smoothly, Complete on time, Result in quality deliverables. His/her focus is on the successful completion of projects and monitoring the impact and effectiveness of the procedures they outline. The PMO is constantly looking for ways to - Enhance project execution & Increase efficiency.A delivery PMO isthere to ensure that a project is delivered in line with the strategic goals of SDC @LTFS. This can mean identifying ways to adapt projects as they work through their plan and revising the targets as the lifecycle develops.PMO will work closely with the Business Head for the Software Delivery Centre. Providing the ongoing monitoring through weekly & monthly dashboards, reporting and presenting to the management team. Also facilitating and collaborating with the team leads. Key Responsibilities: PMO is primarily responsible for providing management reports, establishing guidelines, and a governance framework:Resource planning in projects.Work planning and effort estimation.Coordination of project manager / team leader.Resource allocation and conflict resolution.Maintenance and planning of skills.Strategic capacity planning at portfolio level.Ensure that the scope, goals, and deliverables of IT projects support business goals in collaboration with senior management.Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project lifecycle.Effectively communicate and manage expectations of PMO to project managers, owners, sponsors, team members, and other stakeholders in a clear and concise fashion.Manage consolidated view for all IT projects including milestones/deliverables.Determine frequency and content of status reports from project managers, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas/mitigate project risks.Effectively provide resource management support to ensure projects are completed on-time, on-budget.Develop and communicate best practices, techniques, and tools for project planning, execution, project management, ongoing milestone/deliverable tracking, communication, and key performance metrics.Implementing and supporting continuous service improvements to the project management communityCoach, mentor, motivate, and supervise new project teams and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.Manage program level Lessons Learned repository; attend Post Project Review meetings to identify key areas of improvement to be captured into the Lessons Learnt repository
