Assistant Operations Manager Export/Import

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and coordinating all export activities to ensure timely and accurate delivery of shipments.
  • Prepare, review, and manage export documentation including invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and bills of lading.
  • Ensure compliance with international trade laws, customs regulations, and export control regulations.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers, and other logistics providers.
  • Track shipments and proactively resolve any issues or delays.
  • Maintain accurate export records in accordance with company and legal requirements.
  • Support the negotiation of freight rates and service agreements with logistics providers.
  • Monitor export performance metrics and assist in preparing reports for senior management.
  • Collaborate with internal departments such as sales, production, and finance to align export operations with business goals.
  • Assist in managing export-related audits and customer inspections.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in export operations or international logistics.
  • Familiarity with Incoterms, customs clearance procedures, and international trade regulations.
  • Knowledge of documentation for sea, air, and land shipments.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and experience with ERP or export documentation systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with global markets (e.g., Middle East, Europe, Asia, Africa).
  • Knowledge of export compliance tools and platforms.
  • Certification in export management or supply chain is a plus.
  • Fluency in multiple languages is an asset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹23, ₹35,000.00 per month
