Recruitment & Manpower Planning

  • Coordinate with HODs for manpower planning and budgeting.
  • Handle end-to-end recruitment for all plant-level rolesworkers, staff, and officers.
  • Manage onboarding and induction programs.

2. Compliance & Statutory Requirements

  • Ensure full compliance with applicable labour laws (e.g., Factories Act, ESI, EPF, CLRA, etc.).
  • Handle audits by government departments and maintain statutory registers.
  • Ensure timely submission of returns and renewals (e.g., Factory License, Labour Welfare Fund, etc.).

3. Time Office & Attendance Management

  • Oversee biometric attendance, shift management, and leave records.
  • Manage payroll input processes—wage calculation, overtime, deductions.

4. Industrial Relations (IR)

  • Maintain harmonious relations with workers, contractors, and unions (if applicable).
  • Address grievances and disciplinary matters.
  • Liaise with government labour authorities.

5. Contractor Management

  • Manage third-party manpower agencies.
  • Monitor contractor compliance—wages, PF/ESI records, working hours, etc.

6. Training & Development

  • Conduct skill gap assessments and coordinate technical/safety trainings.
  • Develop and implement a training calendar.

7. Employee Welfare & Engagement

  • Promote employee welfare initiatives—canteen, transport, medical check-ups.
  • Organize employee engagement activities and recognition programs.

8. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)

  • Coordinate with the Safety Officer for ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
  • Support mock drills, PPE compliance, and safety committee meetings.

9. Performance Management

  • Facilitate KRA setting and annual appraisal processes.
  • Drive performance improvement plans.

10. HR Reporting & MIS

  • Maintain accurate HR records.
  • Share regular HR reports with management—attrition, attendance, training hours, etc.Role & responsibilities
