• To provide leadership with vision that inspires the Placement & Internship teams towards maximum and desired outcomes which are in line with objectives of MIT World Peace University
3. Key Accountability
Strategic
• Strategize and plan the vision and specific annual goals for successful Career Services & Internship activities in line with organizational objectives. This includes guiding the respective HoDs in developing required process documents with ongoing process development activities which help deliver the day-to-day operations with ease
• Plan, develop, implement, and promote the programs that support the Career Services & Internship goals
Operational
• Led the Placements & Internships team, providing management, advice, support, and guidance to the team members on day-to-day operations
• Identify the relevant talent to fulfill the human resource requirement for smooth functioning of Placements & Internships operations
• Train and build the capacity of the Placements & Internships team members as appropriate by being versed in all the departmental strategy and planning initiatives, communications, and budgeting.
• Monitor and manage direct reports, ensure accountability in satisfactory attainment of goals. This includes (a) the ongoing reviews with the direct reports and the teams to drive the positive, quantitative and qualitative outcomes; (b) update the progress of Placements & Internships goals through meetings with CEO- CIAP which includes; outcome results; strategic plans for success; any other support required to make the department’s success
• Play an active role in taking up the tasks which would help in successful operations of Placements & Internships
Financial and Budget
• Oversee all financial decisions of the office of Placements & Internships including setting and monitoring budgets, and ensuring clear, independent financial audit.
Collaborations
• Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with Heads of Schools and employers to drive the Career Services & Internships teams to yield maximum positive outcomes in achieving student success.
Academic
• Undertake positive efforts which lead to the vision and purpose of Career Services & Internships that include a continuous improvement in; (a) students’ competency in gaining positive results in their future career options; (b) quality of internships, PPOs and final placements; (c) student satisfaction in seeking advice on their academic challenges, internship outcomes, preparedness for the internships and placements, etc
