Role Description

As a Web and Data Compliance Specialist, you will help design, implement, and optimize systems for managing cookies, user preferences, and compliance requirements. You don’t need prior experience in privacy regulations—we’ll provide the training you need to succeed. We’re looking for someone with technical expertise and a passion for solving problems at the intersection of user experience, technology, and data management.


Key Responsibilities


System Implementation and Integration:

  • Work with developers to implement cookie and preference management systems using tools like tag managers (e.g., Google Tag Manager).
  • Conduct website scans to identify and classify tracking technologies and ensure appropriate configurations.
  • Integrate systems with CRMs, marketing platforms, and other data tools to support seamless user experiences.


User Preference and Compliance Management:

  • Help design and maintain user-friendly preference centers for managing communication and tracking preferences.
  • Assist with capturing, storing, and updating user consent across platforms to meet operational and legal requirements.
  • Generate and analyze reports on consent and compliance trends to improve systems and inform strategy.


Collaboration and Problem-Solving:

  • Collaborate with marketing, IT, and legal teams to ensure compliance efforts align with broader business goals.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data capture, tracking, or consent configurations.
  • Stay up to date on tools and best practices for managing data, user preferences, and tracking technologies.


What We’re Looking - Experience in at least one of the following:

  • Web development (e.g., JavaScript, HTML, CSS, or working with tag managers).
  • Marketing technology and systems (e.g., CRM platforms, marketing automation, customer data platforms).
  • Data integration or systems administration with APIs or large-scale platforms.
  • A technical mindset with the ability to learn and adapt to new tools quickly.
  • Familiarity with tracking technologies (e.g., cookies, analytics tags).
  • Experience working with system integrations or compliance-related tools.
  • An interest in privacy, user trust, and data management (we’ll provide training on specific regulations).
  • OneTrust experience is beneficial
