Objective:

The Area Business Manager will be responsible for driving sales, managing a team of Medical Representatives, and ensuring effective coverage of the assigned territory. The role requires strong expertise in
Pediatrics, Gynecology, or Nutrition segments
, with the ability to build and nurture long-term relationships with healthcare professionals and channel partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve sales targets and growth objectives for the assigned area.
  • Lead, coach, and motivate a team of Medical Representatives to enhance performance.
  • Develop and implement effective territory business plans to drive prescription generation.
  • Establish strong relationships with Pediatricians, Gynecologists, Nutritionists, and other key stakeholders.
  • Identify new business opportunities, monitor competitor activities, and suggest strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, reporting systems, and industry regulations.
  • Organize CMEs, RTMs, and other scientific engagement activities to strengthen brand visibility.
  • Provide timely reports on sales performance, market insights, and team productivity.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Education:
    Graduate in Science/Pharmacy. MBA (Marketing) preferred.
  • Experience:
    5–8 years of pharmaceutical sales experience with at least 2–3 years in a first-line managerial role.
  • Specialization:
    Exposure to
    Pediatrics, Gynecology, or Nutrition
    therapeutic segments is a must.
  • Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving orientation.
  • Ability to drive results in a competitive market.
