To drive innovation, ensure product quality and safety, and meet consumer demand for diverse, high-quality tea products that cater to various tastes, preferences, and lifestyles.
New Product Development: responsible for developing new tea products,blends, flavors, and formats. This involves researching consumer preferences, market trends, and emerging ingredients to create innovative tea offerings that appeal to target demographics.
Quality Control and Assurance: ensure the quality and consistency of tea products by establishing rigorous quality control processes. To conduct sensory
evaluations, chemical analyses, and microbiological testing to assess factors such as taste, aroma, appearance, and safety.
Ingredient Sourcing and Procurement: work closely with suppliers to source high-quality tea leaves,herbs, spices, and other ingredients used in tea blends. They evaluate potentialsuppliers, negotiate contracts, and conduct quality assessments to ensure that ingredients meet established standards.
Process Optimization: optimize tea production processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhanceproduct quality.
Health and Wellness Trends: monitor health and wellness trends to develop tea products that align with consumerpreferences for functional ingredients.
Requirements:
Candidates must relocate to Vietnam
Education
Typically a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in areas such as food science, agricultural science, chemistry, or plant biology.
Deep Tea Knowledge:
Extensive understanding of tea cultivation, processing, chemistry, and sensory evaluation.
Knowledge of tea cultivation practices, varietals, and production methods across major tea-producing regions.
R&D Expertise:
Experience leading research projects and developing new tea products, processing techniques, or technologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify opportunities for innovation.
Ability to design and interpret experimental studies and trials.
Technical & Engineering Skills:
Understanding of tea processing equipment, manufacturing processes, and quality control.
Familiarity with analytical instrumentation and lab techniques for tea analysis
Project Management:
Skilled at managing cross-functional R&D teams and coordinating multiple concurrent projects.
Ability to develop research plans, budgets, and timelines.
Commercial Awareness:
Understanding of market trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscape in the tea industry.
Ability to translate research findings into commercially viable products or processes.
Communication & Collaboration:
Strong written and verbal communication skills to present research to stakeholders.
Ability to work closely with marketing, production, and other departments.
