Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced PhD in Molecular Biology to join our research team at C-CAMP Bangalore. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in molecular biology techniques, ELISA, diagnostic methodologies, and animal cell culture. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a cutting-edge research environment and contribute to innovative scientific projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Molecular Biology Techniques:
·      Conduct DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, qPCR, cloning, and sequencing.
·      Design and perform experiments related to gene expression and regulation.
·      Analyze and interpret molecular biology data.
2. ELISA and Diagnostic Methods:
·      Develop and optimize ELISA assays for various biomolecules.
·      Perform diagnostic tests and analyze results for research and clinical purposes.
·      Ensure accuracy and reliability of diagnostic methodologies.
3. Animal Cell Culture:
·      Maintain and manage various animal cell lines.
·      Perform cell culture experiments, including transfections, treatments, and viability assays.
·      Ensure aseptic techniques and contamination-free cell culture practices.
4. Data Analysis and Reporting:
·      Analyze experimental data using relevant software and statistical tools.
·      Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and scientific manuscripts.
·      Communicate findings effectively to team members and external collaborators.
5. Laboratory Management:
·      Maintain laboratory equipment and inventory.
·      Ensure compliance with safety regulations and laboratory protocols.
·      Provide guidance and training to junior researchers and technicians.
Qualifications:
·       PhD in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field.
·       Proven experience with molecular biology techniques, ELISA, diagnostics, and animal cell culture.
·      Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
·      Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
·      Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
·      Experience in data analysis software (e.g., GraphPad Prism, R, Python) is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
·      Hands-on experience with next-generation sequencing (NGS) techniques.
·      Familiarity with CRISPR/Cas9 technology.
·      Knowledge of bioinformatics tools and databases.
·      Previous work in a research or clinical laboratory setting.
