Role Overview

The Centre Manager will lead the operations and management of the Skilling and Livelihood Centre. The role involves ensuring effective training delivery, mobilization of candidates, building partnerships for placements/livelihoods, maintaining compliance and reporting standards, and creating impact in the community through skill development and employment linkages.

Key Responsibilities

1. Centre Operations & Administration

  • Oversee daily operations of the skilling and livelihood centre.
  • Ensure infrastructure, IT systems, and learning resources are in place and functional.
  • Monitor trainer attendance, learner discipline, and overall centre environment.
  • Manage budgets, petty cash, and vendor relationships as per organization norms.

2. Training Delivery & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure timely commencement and completion of training batches as per curriculum.
  • Monitor trainers' performance and provide feedback/support for quality improvement.
  • Introduce innovative teaching-learning methods, including digital tools.
  • Conduct periodic evaluations to measure learning outcomes.

3. Mobilization & Community Engagement

  • Plan and execute community outreach, mobilization campaigns, and counseling sessions.
  • Build strong networks with schools, colleges, community leaders, and local organizations.
  • Ensure target enrollment numbers are achieved while maintaining candidate quality.

4. Livelihood & Placement Linkages

  • Build and maintain relationships with employers, industry bodies, and placement agencies.
  • Organize job fairs, employer visits, and exposure sessions for trainees.
  • Track and support trainees post-placement for retention and career progression.
  • Facilitate entrepreneurship, self-employment, or freelance opportunities where relevant.

5. Monitoring, Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate trainee records, attendance, assessments, and placement data.
  • Ensure compliance with donor/partner reporting requirements.
  • Submit timely MIS reports, impact stories, and success case studies.
  • Support external audits, evaluations, and donor visits.

6. Team Leadership & Capacity Building

  • Supervise trainers, counselors, and support staff at the centre.
  • Build a motivated, accountable, and high-performing team.
  • Conduct regular reviews and provide professional development support.

Key Deliverables

  • Training batches conducted as per timelines with high completion rates.
  • Minimum placement/livelihood outcomes achieved (as per project targets).
  • High satisfaction levels among trainees, employers, and community stakeholders.
  • Accurate, timely, and transparent reporting.
  • Well-maintained and efficiently run centre.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduate / Postgraduate in Social Work, Management, Education, or related fields.
  • 5–7 years of experience in skill development, livelihoods, training, or related sectors.
  • Experience in team management and centre operations.
  • Strong understanding of community mobilization and employer engagement.
  • Knowledge of government/CSR skill development schemes preferred.

  • Excellent communication and counseling abilities.
  • Ability to build industry and community partnerships.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, MIS tools, and digital platforms.
  • Problem-solving, multitasking, and decision-making skills.
  • Passion for youth empowerment and community development.

Work Conditions

  • Full-time, centre-based role with frequent field/community visits.
  • May require travel for employer meetings, training, and review sessions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹40, ₹50,000.00 per month
