Role & responsibilities

Prepare detailed BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and cost estimates based on project drawings and specifications.

Manage pre-contract and post-contract quantity surveying activities.

Review and analyze tender documents, prepare tender queries, and assist in bid evaluations.

Evaluate contractor/subcontractor claims, variations, and cost implications.

Perform cost control and cost monitoring throughout the project lifecycle.

Prepare and verify interim and final payment certificates.

Liaise with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients to ensure accurate and timely reporting of costs.

Manage contractual correspondences and ensure compliance with FIDIC or other relevant contract conditions.

Provide regular cash flow forecasts, cost reports, and commercial advice to the project team.

Lead and mentor junior quantity surveyors and site-based commercial staff.

Coordinate with procurement and planning departments for budgeting and resource allocation.

Monitor project budgets vs actual costs, identify cost overruns, and provide recommendations for corrective actions.

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering / Quantity Surveying / Construction Management. Diploma in Civil engineering with more than 10 yrs experience

Membership of professional bodies like RICS, CEAI, or IIQS is a plus
