Its service offerings include e-procurement of logistics services and transport contracts, tender management, as well as purchase and sale of repossessed vehicles. We seek a dynamic and results-driven Head of Sales to lead the sales team and drive revenue growth for their online auction platform. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales leadership, a deep understanding of the online marketplace, and the ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies.Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy Development: Design and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve company revenue targets and expand market presence.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and team goals. Foster a culture of high performance and continuous improvement. Must have experience in Manufacturing in Auction, e-commerce marketplace - similar or equivalent to Amazon OR Flipkart. Must have very good experience in selling products to various companies and analysing or making quotations in Auction driven Environment
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform sales strategies and improve offerings.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners. Act as a point of contact for escalated issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Performance Monitoring: Set sales targets and KPIs for the team. Monitor performance against targets and provide regular reports to senior management.
- Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product, and operations teams to align sales strategies with company objectives and enhance the overall customer experience.
- Budget Management: Oversee the sales budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximizing ROI on sales initiatives.Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or any related field; MBA is a plus
- 20 plus years of experience in sales, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, preferably in e-commerce, online marketplaces, or auction services.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth. Proven Track Records of Surplus, Dealing with Scrap equipment and Bidding in Online Auctions
- Strong understanding of online auction platforms and digital marketing strategies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data and market trends to make informed decisions.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
