RAIN is seeking a Manager / Asst. General Manager - Logistics who'd be handling the independent Plant Logistics with safety and ensuring all compliance in line with relevant Work Order terms and condition.

The ideal candidate will plan and monitor inbound and outgoing deliveries.

Role and Responsibilities

Capable to handle Plant Logistics independently and safelyPlan and monitor inbound and outbound movement on day-to-day basis in co-ordination with Production planning and control teamSchedule truck movements and manage traffic within the PlantPlan and execute truck movement for loading of Rake and ShipsSupervise logistics, cargo loading, transportation, and customer servicesHandling of large no of trucks on daily basis by ensuring 100 % safetyReverse Logistics plan for cost optimizationTeam Building to handle end to end logistics activities for the plantEvaluate budgets and expendituresUpdate and evaluate metrics to assess performance and implement enhancementsEnsure all operations adhere to laws, guidelines, and ISO requirementsManaging multiple vendors during truck movementsResolve any Customer Complaints and issues related to Logistics operationCo-ordination with Other department inline to achieve company’s GoalLiaison with external agencies i.e Port, Customs, Railways etc

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Proven management skills with the ability to optimize team performance and developmentTime ManagementCost OptimizationStrong interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skillsCustomer focusedProven analytical, problem solving and organizational skillsTechno-commercial skill

Required Qualification and Experience

Bachelor’s degree with in hand experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration or relevant fieldA minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar roleShould have experience at large industrial sites i.e. Mining Operation, Port Operation, Rail and Road Logistics etc.Should have handled a team of 15-20 membersShould have very good experience in Import-Export Techno Commercial Terms
