Area Sales Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Area Sales Manager to join our team in Lucknow and responsible for business development in whole of UP, Delhi - NCR and Uttarakhand primarily.
The ideal candidate will help in building out our sales and marketing strategy, sales forecasting reports, and sales pipeline. You will then monitor our sales performance with the goal of expanding our company's market share. Your collaborative nature and will help you succeed when coordinating with external distributors and internal sales and marketing teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve sales targets and market share objectives in the assigned area.
- Monitor sales performance and provide regular reports and insights to senior management.
- Assist in developing the annual marketing and sales plans
- Build sales pipeline for new business opportunities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and retailers.
- Conduct regular visits to key accounts to strengthen relationships and drive sales.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities to expand the customer base.
- Plan and execute promotional activities, trade shows, and events to increase brand visibility and drive sales.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability and prevent stock-outs or overstocking.
- Oversee the distribution network to ensure broad market coverage and product availability.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in sales management within the FMCG sector (or closely related sectors).
- Strong understanding of the assigned and surrounding regions.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving market share growth.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
