Role Description

A Health Care Licensing Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring that healthcare professionals, facilities, and services meet all necessary licensing and credentialing requirements to practice legally and maintain high standards within the healthcare industry. This role involves meticulous attention to detail, knowledge of regulatory procedures, and effective communication with various stakeholders. As a Licensing Specialist, you will work under the supervision of the Licensing Manager, providing essential support in the licensing process across the United States and its territories. This is a full-time position that requires experience.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in the relevant field
  • Customer service and leadership experience
  • Experience working with a variety of provider types- MD/DO/PA, Nurses (Required)
  • Experience working with Allied Health Providers and Behavioral Health (Preferred)
  • Experience working with DEA and Controlled Substances License
  • Proficient computer skills including word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications (specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Gmail, Google Drive, and Adobe Acrobat).
  • Superior administrative and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Requesting and verifying documentation and information pertaining to provider credentials and certifications for licensure. 
  • Reviewing applications, transcripts, and other required confidential documents for completeness and accuracy
  • Acting as a liaison between the medical board, medical institutions, and providers. 
  • Obtaining updates on the status of applications and reporting progress weekly.
  • Presenting licensure progress to the team lead biweekly.
  • Supervising and delegating work to the licensing assistants daily.
  • Keeping up to date with changing laws and regulations that affect the area of work on an ongoing basis.
  • Following Licentiam's SOPs to appropriately use the proprietary System and report bugs when needed.
