Job Title: ServiceNow ITAM (HAM/SAM) Implementation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled professional to manage and optimize our IT asset lifecycle using the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will have experience implementing and maintaining ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management and Software Asset Management modules, ensuring compliance, cost optimization, and efficient asset tracking.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Implementing and maintaining the ServiceNow HAM module.
  • Managing asset lifecycle from procurement to disposal, ensuring accurate tracking of hardware assets.
  • Establishing workflows for asset requests, approvals, deployments, and returns.
  • Maintaining an accurate Configuration Management Database (CMDB) for hardware assets.
  • Developing asset audit processes to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
  • Configuring and maintaining the ServiceNow SAM module.
  • Tracking and managing software licenses, subscriptions, and usage across the organization.
  • Ensuring compliance with software licensing agreements and avoiding audit risks.
  • Optimizing software spending by identifying unused licenses and ensuring efficient allocation.
  • Generating compliance and usage reports for stakeholders and audits.
  • Competent in creating and managing ITAM/ITOM dashboards, KPIs, and reporting.
  • Contributing and advocating process design for Global Asset Management aligned with industry framework and best practices.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement asset management process & solutions.
  • Monitoring and resolving integration issues with other IT systems.
  • Designing and maintaining dashboards and reports for hardware and software assets.
  • Providing training and support to end-users on HAM/SAM processes and tools.
  • Staying updated on ServiceNow features and best practices for HAM and SAM.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should possess:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 5-7 years of experience in IT Asset Management.
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow HAM and SAM processes & modules.
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes, especially asset and configuration management.
  • Experience with CMDB configuration and management.

Skills and Competencies:
  • Creating and managing custom scripts, workflows, and integrations using JavaScript and other relevant languages.
  • Implementing and configuring SAM and HAM modules to meet organizational needs.
  • Integrating ServiceNow with external systems via REST, SOAP, JDBC, and other technologies.
  • Strong understanding of software licensing models (e.g., perpetual, subscription, SaaS).
  • Proficiency in ServiceNow administration, including workflow configuration and customizations.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

Certifications (Preferred):
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – HAM or SAM.
  • ITIL Foundation Certification.
  • Certified Asset Management Professional (CAMP) or similar.
