Role Overview:
The Key Account Manager (KAM) will be responsible for driving business growth by identifying, engaging, and managing partnerships with key education institutions. The role is centered on building lasting relationships with institutions across four key categories:
Test Prep (Coaching Centers)
Higher Education Colleges (Domestic & Abroad)
Skilling Institutions
Schools
This position requires a strategic and proactive individual with a passion for the education sector, coupled with the ability to secure new business, build strong relationships, and foster long-term success.
Key Responsibilities:
B2B Sales and Partnership Development:
Identify and prospect potential key education institutions in the categories mentioned above.
Lead negotiations, presentations, and the closing of partnership agreements with educational institutions.
Develop tailored proposals and solutions that align with the institution's needs and FinZ's offerings.
Drive the sales process from lead generation to partnership closure, ensuring that each opportunity is maximized for growth.
Client Relationship Management:
Once partnerships are secured, serve as the primary point of contact for the institution.
Maintain and nurture strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers within the institution.
Act as a trusted advisor, providing ongoing support and guidance to ensure a healthy and productive relationship.
Conduct regular check-ins and performance reviews to ensure client satisfaction and address any issues promptly.
Account Growth and Retention:
Monitor the health of accounts, identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities to expand the relationship.
Continuously ensure that the client is deriving maximum value from the partnership.
Stay abreast of changes in the education sector, leveraging this knowledge to recommend new solutions and innovations to clients.
Ensure contract renewals and long-term client retention through excellent service and relationship management.
Collaboration with Internal Teams:
Collaborate closely with the product, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure a seamless client experience and alignment with institution needs.
Provide feedback from clients to help improve FinZ’s offerings and ensure that institutional pain points are addressed.
Reporting and Metrics:
Maintain detailed records of client interactions, sales activities, and partnership statuses within the CRM system.
Provide regular updates and reports on sales performance, account health, and growth metrics to senior leadership.
Analyze data to track performance, identify trends, and forecast potential growth areas.
Key Requirements:
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably within the education, technology, or financial sectors.
Proven track record in building successful partnerships and closing complex deals.
Experience working with education institutions such as coaching centers, universities, skilling institutions, and schools is highly desirable.
Skills:
Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
Ability to understand and analyze client needs and provide tailored solutions.
Strategic thinker with a solution-oriented mindset.
Excellent relationship-building skills and customer-centric approach.
Familiarity with CRM tools and data management.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field.
An MBA or similar advanced qualification is a plus.
