The Business Development Associate for the field is responsible for developing effective sales strategies and acquiring new clients. This role requires a successful salesperson who can identify and pursue sales opportunities to meet sales targets. The ideal candidate will actively engage in managing and negotiating with clients, generating leads, assessing potential customers, and overseeing the sales process for products and services. In addition, as an Outside Sales Representative or Sales Agent, they will conduct thorough research on sales competitors to stay ahead in the market. By fulfilling these responsibilities, the Business Development Associate will play a vital role in driving revenue growth and maximizing income.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

  • The position holder will be an individual contributor
  • Build and manage productive, professional relationships with clients
  • Ensure clients are using and deriving benefit from OMSGuru
  • Maximize revenue by upselling other services and achieve fortnightly, monthly client retention and revenue targets
  • Systematic follow-up and time-bound closures

Ideal Profile

  • You possess a Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
  • You have at least 1 year experience, ideally within a B2B Account Management or Pre-sales role.
  • You have strong communication and interpersonal skills and a proven track record in building relationships with senior level stakeholders.
  • You have working knowledge of IT Sales and Software sales
  • You are a strong networker & relationship builder
  • You pay strong attention to detail and deliver work that is of a high standard
  • You are a strong mentor and coach who can build high performing teams
  • You are willing to undertake more than 60% travel.
  • Daily 3-4 in person meetings (F2F) with clients onsite
  • Must have own vehicle.
