We are seeking a visionary Senior Vice President – Government Business to lead and expand our government vertical and drive substantial revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Government Business Leadership :
Develop and implement strategies to drive growth and achieve revenue targets in the government sector.
Identify new business opportunities with government ministries, departments, and public sector organizations.
Build and nurture long-term relationships with key government stakeholders.
Sales and Business Development :
Lead end-to-end sales efforts, including responding to tenders, bidding, and contract negotiations.
Stay abreast of market trends and regulatory developments to identify new areas of growth.
Project Delivery Oversight :
Ensure timely and efficient execution of government projects, adhering to high-quality standards.
Collaborate with internal teams to align resources and capabilities for successful project delivery.
Act as the primary escalation point for government clients, ensuring satisfaction and resolving challenges promptly.
Revenue and Profitability Management :
Own the P&L for the government business vertical, ensuring profitability and cost efficiency.
Set and achieve revenue targets, balancing client satisfaction with organizational growth objectives.
Stakeholder Engagement :
Represent Garage Collective at government and relevant industry forums, conferences, and meetings.
Strengthen relationships with government bodies, public sector units, and allied stakeholders.
Provide strategic insights and reports to senior leadership on business performance and growth opportunities.
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Experience : Minimum 14 years in government sales, business development, or related fields, with a proven track record of success.
Education : MBA/PGDM or equivalent degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related fields (preferred).
Skills :
Exceptional relationship-building skills with government stakeholders.
Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication abilities.
In-depth knowledge of government procurement processes, tenders, and contracts.
Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to driving results.
Good to have knowledge in CRM software and project management tools.
Network : Established relationships with key government officials, ministries, and public sector organizations.
