A Sales Engineer for Machinery Sales connects customers with complex technical solutions, demonstrating expertise in machinery while driving business growth through consultative sales

Role & responsibilities

  • Engage with potential and existing clients to identify their needs and propose appropriate machinery solutions.
  • Develop and deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations, explaining machinery features, benefits, and applications.
  • Prepare accurate sales quotations, proposals, and contracts for machinery projects.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to tailor solutions to meet customer requirements and ensure technical feasibility.
  • Manage sales pipeline, negotiate contract terms, and secure orders while ensuring timely delivery and post-sale support.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, offering technical support and resolving product usage challenges.
  • Stay updated on market trends, competitor offerings, and technological advances in machinery relevant to customer needs.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelors degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, or similar discipline) or equivalent technical experience.
  • Strong technical and sales acumen, with the ability to explain complex machinery concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in industrial, manufacturing, or technical sales environments.
  • Experience in CRM, sales strategy, and account management is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for client visits, site inspections, and trade shows.
