JOB PURPOSETo handle site operations at Steel Plant with optimum utilisation of manpower, machine & raw materials; to ensure best service to customer.CANDIDATES HAVING EXPERIENCE ONLY IN STEEL INDUSTRY WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE.DIMENSIONS:EHS :Respect all safety rules as per Customer standards and work should be as per Procedures.Must obey the customer and customer's safety rules and policiesEnsure Participation in all the company safety event.Shouldn’t allow anyone to work unsafe mannerEnsure to know the all aspects and impacts of your workplace prior to each task and to protect environment as per company standard.Ensure to execute all best practices at work by provide training.Adequate training for EHS and Job specific training to the direct workers.Financial:Site has to perform to achieve annual plan production and revenueSite operations must be within optimum cost.Mobile equipment effective utilization with proper planMust ensure site operations at customer satisfaction levelAccountable for site operations of: Metal recovery plant, Rumbler, Lancing operations, Oxylancing operations.Material dispatch and trucking certification for the shift operations.Product dispatch quality and KPIs must be in line to avoid penalty clausesMIS report on daily.Non-Financial:Safe work practices implementation and worker discipline to be maintained.Must ensure for Zero-Harm policy for safety-Environment-wealth-health while carrying plant operations.Shall ensure for all activities follow thru as per SOPs instruction.Must ensure pre-start check list to follow.Must ensure for quality of product and accountable for quality product.Site supervision during including site assets.Work force utilisation planCoordinates operations activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.Reviews and analyses production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications, and operating or production problems.Develops and implements operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality.Compiles, stores, and retrieves operations data.Maintain proper housekeeping and improve working conditions at site.Coordination with customer area owner during operations to get dispatch plan.Slag pit supervision and slag handling monitoring to ensure slag dumping in designated locations.Must ensure for all safe practices and all staff should obey the company code of conduct.Must execute all assigned line walks and cross functional audits as per Audit matrix.Must maintain the log book properly with all information.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIESZero Harm at site.Safe working practices for the team/ accountable for any safety violations.Operations and supervision of plant operationsPlant thru put for MRP, dispatch of Rumbler and lancing product.Quality of the productShift team managementConfidentiality of Valuable plant information.Equipment condition and fault identification during operations to report to immediate manager.Key ChallengesSafe practices at work place to achieve ZERO HARM TargetSite must perform beyond the annual planCoordination with work force to get better serviceCustomer satisfaction by maintain all standards as per customer requirement while maintaining Harsco standards.Product quality at customer satisfaction levelDrop ball performance at optimum operational cost.
