L1 Support Engineer

Job Description :
The L1 Support Specialist plays a crucial role in providing first-line technical assistance and support to end-users encountering operational issues.
This position requires a solid foundation in Linux systems, along with the ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems.
The incumbent will ensure seamless operations within the organization while expanding support scope to encompass data analytics and database management technologies such as Hadoop, Qlik, and Vertica.
This role demands proficiency in Linux environments and a willingness to adapt and learn new technologies.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide first-line technical support and assistance to end-users facing operational issues.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems promptly and efficiently.
- Ensure seamless operations within the organization's IT infrastructure.
- Utilize expertise in Linux systems to resolve technical issues effectively.
- Learn and become proficient in new technologies such as Hadoop, Qlik, and Vertica.
- Expand support scope to include data analytics and database management.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.
- Document troubleshooting steps and solutions for future reference.
- Assist in the implementation of IT projects and system upgrades.
- Provide training and guidance to end-users on IT-related matters when necessary.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience in providing technical support in a Linux environment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Proficiency in Linux systems administration and command-line interface.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Feasibility for resource(s) to work in Amsterdam (AMS) time zone.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Certifications in Linux administration or relevant technologies.
- Experience with data analytics tools such as Hadoop, Qlik, or Vertica.
- Familiarity with database management systems.
- Previous experience in a technical support role within a multinational organization.
