Role : Executive – Corporate Relations & Volunteering

Functional Area : Corporate relations, Engagement with corporates, Volunteering Support, Managing Events.

Reporting to: Manager – Corporate Relations & Volunteering

Location : Bengaluru, Karnataka About Us: United Way Bengaluru is the local chapter of United Way Worldwide. The organization acts as an enabler and driver of collective impact by intelligently mapping CSR funds to community needs. We are known to drive innovative and unique solutions to resolve social issues through our flagship programs like ‘Wake the Lake’, ‘Born Learning’ and Rural Rising. To learn more about us you can reach us on Responsibilities: a) Invest in understanding the corporate sector, CSR spends, volunteer engagement programs and domains. b) Understand the corporate partners of UWB, their CSR mandate and their focus on domains and communities. c) Engage with the corporates to update them on progress of programs; share utilization certificate; send out quarterly/annual reports. d) Coordinate with the Community Engagement team to write out proposals for potential corporate partners. e) Support the Chief Relations Officer to share updates, utilization certificates, progress on program with various NGOs. f) Create the Events Calendar for the year with the help of Community Engagement Team and publish it to all key stakeholders. g) Engage with the corporate partners and volunteers during events to help them build perspective about the development sector.

h) Coordinate specific volunteering events and trouble shoot any issues during implementation of these events. i) Coordinate with the Community Engagement team to ensure corporate programs/ events have been implemented as per the Events calendar. j) Coordinate with the Communications and Branding team to ensure key events with corporates are highlighted on social media/ on the website. k) Build capacity of NGOs to engage with corporates and conduct volunteering events.

l) Accompany and facilitate ad-hoc and planned corporate visits to NGOs and communities. Educational Qualifications The candidate should have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in fund raising, project coordination, sales, and marketing etc., A minimum of bachelor’s degree is required or an equivalent degree or education. The incumbent should be proficient in English, Hindi, Kanada, or any other regional languages. The candidate should possess communication skills, presentation skills, interpersonal skills etc., alongside ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and manage and execute events.
