Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic Area Business Manager (ABM) to oversee and drive business operations in the Mumbai region. The ABM initially would be an individual contributor role looking into the performance we will add Territory Business Managers (TBMs), ensuring execution of business strategies, achievement of sales targets, and effective territory development.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, guide, and monitor a team of 4–5 TBMs across assigned territories.

Drive primary and secondary sales through team performance and market strategies.

Develop strong KOL (Key Opinion Leader) engagement and build long-term relationships with healthcare professionals.

Implement head office strategies effectively on the field and ensure team alignment.

Conduct regular field visits, joint working, and on-the-job coaching.

Monitor performance metrics, evaluate TBM activities, and drive accountability.

Coordinate with supply chain and distribution teams to ensure product availability.

Analyze market trends and competitor activities, and report key insights to management.

Conduct periodic sales meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews.

Candidate Requirements:

Graduate in Science/Pharmacy (MBA/PGDM preferred).

Minimum 4–7 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, including 1–2 years in a managerial or ABM role.

Proven experience in team management and field development.

Strong understanding of the Mumbai pharma market (especially ethical/specialty segment).

Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Proficient in data analysis, territory mapping, and business planning.

Willing to travel within assigned regions as needed.
