Strategic Sourcing Manager IT Procurement

In order to furtherstrengthen the Supply Base Management Team NXP is seeking torecruit young high potentials with a fascination for IT who haveprevious experience in nonproduct related purchasing and who arethrilled to go for a next challenge.

The Sourcing Managers will be responsible for thestrategic direction of assigned IT commodity groups (IT Software ITHardware and IT Services) and for the translation of NXPs ITrequirements into agreements with bestinclass vendors. You willreport to the respective Supply Base Manager and work closely withNXPs IT organizations as well as with other stafforganizations.

The keyareas of responsibility include:

  • Commodity Strategy Development Develop implement andmanage commodity strategies and sourcing plans in close alignmentwith business stakeholders.
  • Supply BaseManagement Develop a supplier base within the assigned commoditygroup that meets business needs and improve the supply base toworldclasslevel.
  • Stakeholder Management Buildmultilevel relationships with the IT business in order to ensurethat supplier management strategies contribute to bottomlinebusiness success.
  • Negotiation Lead crossfunctional teams during commercial negotiations with suppliers anddefine what good looks like in terms of total cost ofownership.
  • Sourcing & Contracting Leadsupplier selection processes in line with commodity strategiesmanage legal contracts and ensure all aspects of regulatorycompliance are adhered to in the procurement process includingdocumentation.
  • Supplier Evaluation Conductsupplier evaluations and ensure continuous improvement of servicequality and alignment with market trends.

The Sourcing Managers we are lookingfor are dynamic and proactive professionals with a special interestin the interface between the commercial aspects of purchasing andIT related commodities who are able to manage IT sourcing projectsand collaborate with content experts and business stakeholders aswell as with IT suppliers. You are willing to become a sourcingexpert in the assigned commodity groups and you have the ability totranscend daily operations by using your strategic focus. You findenergy in working in a truly global organization while supportingmultiple time zones (flexible timing may be required).

Required education and skills are onacademic/bachelor level with minimal 5 years of purchasing relatedexperience in an international environment. Ideal candidates haveknowledge of and experience with IT know how to combine commodityexpertise with commercial awareness possess excellent negotiationskills and are familiar with the development and implementation ofcommodity strategies and sourcing plans. Beside excellent communication organizationaland interpersonal skills you should enjoy working in a globalorganization which requires a high level of cross culturalsensitivity. We are looking for a selfstarter who is motivatedflexible and capable of working on own initiative and who has thepower to motivate others and to drive changes. You are fluent inspoken and written English with serviceoriented organizationalskills and a good communicator.
