Job Title: Sr. Manager - Accounts Department: Finance & Accounts
Level: L4
Location: Nigeria (Africa)
Role Purpose :
The Sr. Manager - Accounts will oversee the preparation and presentation of monthly management accounts to the Audit Committee. The role includes creating monthly budgets, variance and cost analyses, and reconciling cost accounts with financial records.
Key Responsibilities :
Budgets and Variance Analysis
Prepare monthly budgets and conduct variance analysis.
Perform cost analysis and reconcile cost accounts with financial records.
Generate daily, monthly, and quarterly MIS reports.
Commercial Activities
Coordinate with the Finance team at HQ for resource allocation.
Provide financial analysis and support to the Unit CEO.
Highlight and report unusual financial trends.
MIS Reporting and Compliance
Ensure timely preparation of management accounts.
Support the Accounts Head in decision-making processes.
Monitor and manage the credit control function vigilantly.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience :
Mandatory :
Education : Chartered Accountant (CA)
Experience : 10+ years in Budgeting, Accounting, and Costing in the manufacturing sector
Functional Expertise :
Proven experience in MIS reports and compliance
Hands-on expertise in financial analysis and commercial activities
Desired :
Experience in the steel manufacturing industry
Africa-specific professional exposure
Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Navision)
