Responsibilities -
- Oversees the efficient handling, movement, and storage of goods. To ensure that products are delivered on time, maintain quality standards, and minimize costs, transportation/delivery, storage, packaging, cargo handling, distribution processing, and information processing , and many systems have been put in place to deliver products from the production location or factory to the consumer quickly and on time.
- Transportation Coordination:
- Overseeing transportation involves arranging the movement of goods, selecting optimal transportation methods, and ensuring compliance with legal and safety standards.
- The logistics operations executive ensures timely, cost-effective, and secure transportation of products.
- Vendor Relations:
- Building and maintaining robust relationships with vendors and suppliers is crucial.
- Coordination with workers related to logistics area to provide good service
- This involves negotiating contracts, ensuring quality standards, and timely deliveries.
- The logistics operations executive is the primary point of contact, fostering strong partnerships for operational success.
- Inventory Management:
- This involves monitoring Transport vehicle's details, forecasting demand, and implementing just-in-time inventory systems
