Job Title: Head of IT - Software Development & Maintenance

Location:  Primary NCR – Preferably Gurgaon, Secondary Bangalore

Experience:  12 - 20+ years

 

Job Summary:  We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Head of IT Services to lead our IT & Professional Services business unit. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing all aspects of IT services, from customer interfacing and RFP responses to scaling accounts and ensuring timely deliveries. This role demands a strategic leader who can manage escalations, conduct reviews, handle resource management and staffing, and oversee the P&L.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the IT & Professional Services - Software Development & Maintenance business unit, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Interface with customers to understand their needs, provide solutions, and build strong, long-lasting relationships.
  • Respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) - Software Development with comprehensive and competitive proposals.
  • Scale accounts by identifying new opportunities and expanding existing ones.
  • Ensure all project deliveries are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Handle escalations promptly and effectively, maintaining high customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular reviews of projects, processes, and team performance to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Manage resource allocation and staffing to ensure optimal team performance and utilization.
  • Oversee the Profit and Loss (P&L) for the business unit, ensuring financial targets are met and costs are controlled.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in leading and managing an IT & Professional Services - Software Development & Maintenance  business unit.
  • Strong customer interfacing skills with the ability to understand customer needs and provide effective solutions.
  • Extensive experience in responding to RFPs and scaling accounts.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project deliveries, handle escalations, and conduct reviews.
  • Strong resource management and staffing skills.
  • Excellent understanding of P&L management.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
