The Leela Hotels is seeking a dynamic and passionate Training Manager to elevate service excellence by driving impactful learning and development initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining training programs that align with The Leela’s commitment to luxury, hospitality, and guest satisfaction. The Training Manager will work closely with department heads to ensure a cohesive approach to service standards, empowering our staff to deliver unparalleled guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Training Development and Implementation
- Design and execute training programs that reflect The Leela’s luxury brand standards and hospitality values.
- Conduct needs assessments to identify training gaps and recommend tailored programs to enhance skill levels.
- Develop onboarding programs for new employees, ensuring they are well-versed in company culture, service protocols, and standards of excellence.
- Coordinate with department heads to deliver customized training for key areas, such as front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, and spa services.
Performance and Skill Development
- Provide ongoing training to enhance the professional skills of staff and ensure consistent service standards across all levels.
- Mentor and coach team members to foster growth, build confidence, and enhance guest interaction skills.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs by collecting feedback, monitoring performance metrics, and making improvements based on data.
Compliance and Standards
- Ensure all training programs comply with hotel policies, safety regulations, and The Leela’s brand standards.
- Collaborate with the Quality and Guest Experience team to align training initiatives with guest satisfaction metrics and audit standards.
- Maintain and update training documentation, policies, and procedure manuals to reflect any changes in operational standards or regulations.
Leadership and Relationship Building
- Act as a role model, embodying The Leela’s luxury brand ethos and high standards of hospitality.
- Build strong relationships with department heads and employees, creating an environment of continuous learning and improvement.
- Communicate effectively with leadership to report on training progress, challenges, and impact on employee performance.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Human Resources, Education, or a related field. Certification in Training & Development is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a training or learning and development role within the luxury hospitality industry. Experience with five-star hotel brands is preferred.
Skills: Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and project management abilities.
