Overview:
As the Corporate Communications Head, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing communication strategies to enhance and protect the organization's reputation. You will be responsible for fostering positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, managing crisis communication, and ensuring consistent messaging across various channels. This role requires a seasoned communications professional with strategic thinking, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the organization's goals and values.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies aligned with the organization's goals.
Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure communication plans support business objectives.
Monitor industry trends, public sentiment, and competitor activities to adapt communication strategies accordingly.
Internal Communication:
Oversee internal communication initiatives to ensure consistent messaging and employee engagement.
Develop and implement internal communication programs that foster a positive organizational culture.
Act as a liaison between leadership and employees, ensuring transparent and effective communication.
External Communication:
Manage external communication channels, including press releases, media relations, and social media.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with media outlets and key industry influencers.
Proactively identify opportunities to position the organization positively in the public eye.
Brand Management:
Safeguard and enhance the organization's brand by maintaining consistent messaging and visual identity.
Ensure all communication materials adhere to brand guidelines and reflect the organization's values.
Oversee the development of communication collateral and promotional materials.
Team Leadership:
Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing corporate communications team.
Provide guidance on professional development and performance management for team members.
Foster a collaborative and creative work environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
Overall 10+ years of work experience with proven experience in corporate communications, and a track record of successful strategic planning and execution.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
Crisis management experience is highly desirable.
Knowledge of industry trends, media landscape, and emerging communication technologies.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior executives.
