Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and driven Account Manager – Sales to join our growing freight forwarding team in India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for acquiring new business, managing key accounts, and driving revenue growth by providing end-to-end freight solutions (Air, Ocean, and Road). You will play a vital role in expanding our customer base and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and target potential clients in industries like manufacturing, retail, pharmaceuticals, automotive, etc.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to generate new freight forwarding business (Air & Sea Import/Export).
  • Manage and grow existing customer accounts to achieve revenue targets.
  • Maintain regular contact with clients to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling services.
  • Work closely with the operations, pricing, and customer service teams to provide customized logistics solutions.
  • Prepare and present proposals and quotations based on client needs and market trends.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, competitor activities, and freight rates.
  • Provide timely feedback and insights to the internal team to align sales strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities in CRM tools.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts and performance reports to management.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field is a huge plus.
  • MUST HAVE a minimum 3–6 years of proven sales experience in international freight forwarding (Air & Ocean)
  • Strong understanding of INCOTERMS, shipping documentation, and global trade practices.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools like Zoho is a plus
  • Ability to travel locally as required.
